JULY CORONATION KINGDOM SCROLL CONTEST (July 2006)

Once again the Scribes of An Tir are invited to display their artistic talents at July Coronation.

Categories this year include:

• Novice (1st-3rd SCA original award Scroll)
• Intermediate (4th-8th)
• Experienced (9th+)
• Novice Calligrapher (1st-5th SCA scroll)
• Advanced Calligrapher (6th+)
• Populace Choice
• Judges' Favorite
• Tamlyn has the Blues - Dame Tamlyn's favorite use of Blue on a scroll
• Best use of Heraldry (include An Tir on-line Armorial page if available)
• Best Scroll using Period Materials
• Best depiction of Fighting - Vicountess Inga's favorite.
• Best depiction of Horses or Horse Accoutrements

Please register your entries with the Contest Deputy HL Tegan of Conwy so we can provide enough space.

If you need an assignment contact Dame Tamlyn. If you would like to sponsor a category or are willing to help with setup of the display or watching it during the day on Saturday please contact HL Tegan.

Eligible scrolls are those for An Tir Kingdom level awards (these include armigerous Principality scrolls) which have been completed since last July Coronation and which have not been entered in a Kingdom level contest before. Scribes may enter more than one scroll. It is recommended that scrolls be matte framed for display purposes, any additional framing should be arranged with and paid for by the recipient. Scrolls for display may be sent to the Kingdom Scribe in the interim and held at the request of the scribe until July Coronation ~ please let the recipient know this and that they should be prepared to pick up their scrolls at the event.
